We Have a Cover! And More Events!

Hello Craft Beer Fans,
Wanted to share a bunch of very exciting news with you guys about the California BrewMasters project. First off, I’m excited to share that we have just crossed the 100 backers mark! I want to thank everyone who has donated so far for all their support, you’re not only supporting this project but the hard working brewers that bring tasty beers to all. We still have a long way to go though, we need to raise over $18,000 in the next 22 days! I’d again encourage everyone to get the word out. To those yet to donate, the time is now! Get your hands on some great rewards and help tell the stories of Golden State brewers. Donate Today!
Another exciting piece of news, we have a book cover! It features Ken Grossman, founder of Sierra Nevada, and one of the founding fathers of the craft beer movement. We feel that this choice as a cover image is emblematic to what this book has to offer, great portraiture and interviews that come together to tell the story of California craft beer. Sierra tells its story through its award winning and delicious beer, and we hope to tell it in our own way; through those that brew it. What do you think?Inline image 3

Lastly, we’re doing a whirlwind tour of events throughout Southern California, most in San Diego. We hope that you can make it out to at least one of these, and please feel free to come to as many as you’d like. These events are very important money makers for the Kickstarter (portions of the proceeds will go towards the Kickstarter), so bring as many friends as you’d like and come thirsty!Feb 25st: The Side Door, Corona del Mar, 6-10pmCome join us on the beautiful outdoor patio at the Side Door in Corona del Mar for beers, appetizers, portraits, and more! Meet the author, learn about the project, and check out some of the great brewer portraits. Appetizers will be available for guests enjoyment. A portion of all sales will go to the California BrewMasters Kickstarter page, and laptops will be on hand for additional donations. Come thirsty! Event is open to the public, RSVP via Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/events/1405994489656326/

Mar 4th: Toronado, San Diego, 6-10pm

If you’ve never been to San Diego’s legendary Toronado you are certainly missing out on something wonderful. Join us for prints and pints! We’ll be drinking some delicious beers, including some from Alpine (yum yum!) to raise money for the Kickstarter.
Mar 5th: Urge GastroPub, San Diego, 6-Close
Funny enough Urge Gastropub was one of the first beer bars in San Diego I ever stepped foot in. A great space with even better people, I can’t wait to share a beer with you here. Prints on the walls, beers in our hands. Delicious menu of food as well so be sure to come thirsty and hungry!

Mar 6th: Tiger! Tiger!, San Diego, 6-Close
Tiger! Tiger! has been a staple craft-friendly beer bar for years now. It’s an honor to be welcomed into Tiger, Tiger and to have my prints grace their walls for a night. $1 for every California Beer sold will go towards the Kickstarter, so definitely join us with an eye on drinking local, delicious beers.

Mar 8th, Anthill Pub, Irvine, 6-Close
Very excited about this event, Anthill Pub is one of my favorite OC pubs, with affordable prices and an ever changing tap list. This event is particularly important because it’s also the day Anthill will be tapping their keg of Pliny the Younger! I know everyone’s excited about that (limited ticket sales for Pliny available at Anthill Pub), so come by to try out some awesome Russian River beers while supporting a great cause.

Mar 13th, AleSmith Brewery, San Diego, 5-8pm
To round off our list of events we’re going big. AleSmith big! Definitely one of my favorite San Diego breweries, we invite everyone to join us for one last event with brewers on hand from around San Diego. There will be some specialty beers on draught and a food truck as well. Prints on the walls and beer in your hand, what’s not to love? Hope to see everyone there!

Thank you for reading through this email, and thanks for your support! Together we can bring this book to life and celebrate the stories of the men and women responsible for great California beer. Donate Today! Cheers!
